The scale of the bushfires burning along eastern Australia can be hard to grasp. With more than 2.2 million hectares burnt, the devastation to wildlife and thousands of Australians has been immense.
Whilst there is nothing that can take away the loss of homes and possessions, we wanted to make a gesture, as small as it may be, to those impacted. This month we partnered with Thread Together, a charity that works to provide footwear and clothing to those experiencing difficult times…and with over 680 homes lost in the fires to date, there are a lot of families doing it tough this Christmas.
Last week some of our Victorian Team Members headed out to our BBSC Uni Hill store and collected close 800 pairs of shoes on behalf of MFG to donate to this worthy cause.
