We’re celebrating one year with Bobux!
It’s been almost 12 months since we welcomed Bobux to our portfolio of brands. With an international footprint of retail partners and a loyal following, Bobux has provided us a year-round offering in children’s footwear.
Since its acquisition, the Bobux brand has seen a steady rise in profile and potential.
Lead Product Developer Karen Strickland recently reflected on the last 12 months, “We’re focused on newness, on introducing new shapes and new styles, bringing some excitement to the range”.
With each collection, the team work to inject fresh elements and technologies into the ranges, across all genders and stages. For the upcoming season, this means looking at new ‘last soles’, or fit moulds, as well as new fabrications and materials for outer soles. Some of this innovation can be found in the new Alpha range – a collection that designed for Extreme Natural Movement with more flexibility, more toe room, and more grip. The collection has been created for adventure-led play, with an emphasis on nurturing children’s foot development.
“Rather than release the same styles in new colours, we want to be bold, and show our customers what we can do”, Strickland said. This spirit of creativity can be seen across the latest ranges, in the introduction of brighter, more eye-catching colours for the girls’ ranges, and in the new materials used for out soles.
The next 12 months looks likely to be as evolutionary for the brand as the previous. The team are focused on continuing their momentum, introducing new technologies and exploring ways to embrace sustainability across the range. Strickland remarks, “It’s about what’s going to suit the brand, what’s something new and innovative that will fit the brand.” As with every element of Bobux, the sustainable solutions that the team work with need to remain true to the essence of the brand and product, while helping lessen the impact of its production.
“We’re on a fantastic journey and this is only the beginning. We can’t do everything in tone season but we’re taking little steps each day to get us where we want to be.” Strickland and the entire Bobux team are focused on this culture of change and growth, and we can’t wait to see where the brand goes next.
