We know Kerrie has had an incredible impact on the business, having played a pivotal role in shaping MFG to what we are today, and we’re thrilled to see her efforts celebrated on such a prestigious stage.
The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award recognises those who forge new paths in business – the entrepreneurs who champion innovation and positive change. Since its foundation in 1986 and Australian launch in 2001, the award has been cemented as one of the most distinguished honours for business across the globe. The program operates in more than 60 countries, and counts entrepreneurs such as Jack Gance, Chairman and Co-Founder of Chemist Warehouse, among its previous winners.
Kerrie is one of only six national finalists in the ‘Industry’ category; an incredible achievement and one that recognises her unfailing attitude and passion for our business.
Starting out as a receptionist for Gamins Shoes in 1974, Kerrie went on to launch Styling Services in 1998, effectively pivoting to focus on wholesaling and buying. She founded Django & Juliette in 2001 and I Love Billy in 2003, and has built a foundation of forward thinking and expansion for MFG. Though it hasn’t always been smooth sailing, Kerrie’s drive and resilience has helped us navigate difficulties and challenging periods, and she continues to do so.
Today, as Creative Director, Kerrie works tirelessly to help position MFG as the powerhouse within the industry that it is today. We are incredibly proud to see Kerrie’s work acknowledged under a global spotlight.
“I’m excited to be a finalist and very proud to be recognized for my work with MFG. The whole process has taken me outside my comfort zone but the experience has given me an opportunity to reflect on my own growth and development and I’m proud of my part in taking MFG to the level it is today.”
The national finalists were presented with their awards at the Southern
Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards night on 31st July. The Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards will be held on 24th October, at a celebratory gala. All of us at MFG are standing behind Kerrie and we are excited to see where this journey takes her.
